Monday in May

Hard to believe it is already May!!

This morning we completed the unit 5 assessment in math. Tomorrow we will begin unit 6 by reviewing telling time on an analog clock...this is always a challenging skill for students but with the decrease in analog clocks within our world, it becomes even more so. Anything you can do at home, to help, is much appreciated!!

Our reading block began with the students taking the third and final round of the MAP-R reading assessment for this school year. You might recall that this is a 42 question, self-adjusting computerized reading test.

WHen we returned to our classroom, we began our author study of Shel Silverstein by reading a one page biography about him and reaidng some of his poetry aloud.

Following lunch and outdoor recess the students went to art. WHen they return, Mrs. Howard and Mr. Romer will begin a career unti with the class.
