Hump Day

We had a highly prodcutive day today! :-)

In math we reviewed fractions of a set and counting money. WE also practiced adding and subtraction money AND using estimation to determine whether our answers made sense. There is a worksheet for homework.

In reading we got a taste of the fantasy literary genre by listening to the story Dinosaur Bob and his Adventures with the Family Lazaro. Then the students continued working on thier reading group assignments from yesterday and their persuasive writing piece.

Following PE, lunch and recess the students continued working independently and went to FASTT math. I did some individual reading assessments to gauge student progress.

We ended the day by idetifying natural and human-made geographic characteristics on a map. WE will use this to determine how people modify and adapt to their environment.

Remember that sound projects are due TOMORROW!
