Marvelous Monday

It is so hard to believe that the last week of the school year has arrived.  While I am looking forward to summer, I hope that his week doesn't go too quickly.

This morning the students had a chance to work on the ABC's of Fourth Grade and the Fourth grade brochure, both for Fly Up Day tomorrow.  Then, after the announcements, we switched for math.

First, the children completed a session of Xtra Math.  After that, we  worked on a math project.  The students designed a carousel that fit certain requirements which included seating 50 people at a time, and making at least $500 each day.

After enjoying lunch and indoor recess, the students continued working on the carousel project.  At the end of math, we reviewed how to calculate whether $500 was a reasonable amount of money to make each day and the minimum number of people to ride each time, to earn $500.

After math, we reviewed last week's word of the week, indicate, and last week's puzzles.  Then, we began sharing our Teach the Teacher projects.

In between sharing lessons, we had PE, in the classroom with Mr. Smith, and ate snack.
