Thrilling Thursday - Delayed Start

This morning the students worked on completing the Wednesday and Thursday sections of the voacbulary sheet for our word of the week, clarify.  Then, they attempted to solve this week's puzzles.  Aftwr the announcements we switched for a very short math block.

Math began with a place value warm up involving decimals.  After that, we reviewed the homework from Tuesday night.  Then, we reviewed writing powers of ten in standard, expanded, and exponent form, using the patterns of zeroes we discovered during Tuesday's lesson.

After our very short math class, the children ate lunch.

When they returned to homeroom, we began our literacy block.  Today, we focused on finishing our fiction stories, making revisions, based on my feedback, and creating an illustration for our class book.

We did take a break for music and to eat snack.

One more day to finish our book...we can do this!
