This morning, in math, we took a math formative. Overall, the students did very well. We will have a quiz on Friday covering multiplication, division and word problems. For homework, students need to explain the formative to an adult. They should explain how to solve each problem...what they did correctly and what they have learned from their mistakes. They also need to continue practice their flashcards.
During reading, I was able to meet (and test) a few students to see how their sight words and reading comprehension is coming along. While I did this, the children reread their assignments from Monday night and worked on their bookmarks. For homework, they need to complete their bookmarks (we will have literature circle discussions tomorrow) and read for 15 minutes.
Following PE, lunch and recess, we will investigate pitch using rulers to make sounds. Then we will continue gathering our research with Mrs. Rose in the media center.
