During math we reviewed writing word problems when given a multiplication expression and we practiced solving word problems. There is a multiplication worksheet for homework and we will have a formative tomorrow.
During reading I attended two meetings but the children went to the media center to continue gathering information about the city they are researching and they exchanged books.
Following lunch and recess, we reviewed the parts of a sentence (subject/predicate) and different types of sentences (simple vs. compound). The children have a worksheet to complete for homework. They will need to combine two simple sentences by using a comma and the words and, but or or to create a compound sentence.
Finally, we finished with science. We investigated the different sounds created by the vibrations of a ruler.
